BECOMING A ROSE: An Artists' Survival Guide According to Jean Genet, premiered at the 2021 Hollywood Fringe Festival . This play, purposely devised for virtual theater, was streamed live during the festival. BECOMING A ROSE: A New Bloom ... a completely re-devised version of the play will be streaming live and available on-demand through the new Luciani's Absolute Theater Digital Space.

NEW STRUCTURE
The play has been restructured as a three-act show following Luciani's Absolute Theater's concept of the three metaphysical planes first introduced in the play TRIPTYCH. Each act will be first streamed live and then recorded for on-demand viewing.

NEW CONTENT
BECOMING A ROSE was my first experiment with the Virtual Theater Language, the ground work for the translation - for lack of a better word - of the Absolute Theater Language into the new Virtual Theater Language so, just as the structure of the play has changed, the content has also evolved. While the references Jean Genet and my special connection with him and his work remain in the play, the enacting - and I'm using this word intentionally - of some of Genet's characters has been replaced an original short story which will tie in the three acts of the play.
