LUCIANI’S ABSOLUTE SENSORY-SOMATIC THEATER TECHNIQUE (FULL OPTION) SENSORY-SOMATIC THEATER TECHNIQUE (SHORTER OPTION)
BARESENSE – A SENSORY-SOMATIC APPROACH (AN OPTION WITHOUT THE WORD THEATER IN THE TITLE)
Judgment, whether self-imposed or from others, is one of the most common limitations known to artists. Many visionaries, thinkers and pioneers have addressed this and other mind-related limitations by developing performing, acting and somatic-based techniques which propose a balance between our bodies, where the more honest, primal and instinctive side of ourselves reside and our trained, socialized and, more prompt to judgment, minds. (The Absolute Theater’s sensory-somatic technique) shares the principles of these methods and pushes them forward by incorporating, awakening and stimulating the senses and their powerful connection to our subconscious and life-energy. Although developed with/for actors, this technique will benefit artists and performers of any discipline alike.
(WHATEVER TITLE YOU CHOOSE) SAMPLE CLASS DESCRIPTION
In the first part of the class, participants will be introduced to a few of the multiple techniques through which we can tap and connect to our life-energy and how to transmute it or/and channel it into creative energy. In the second part of the class, we will explore the possibilities and applications of this technique by addressing each participant’s art discipline and specific needs.
