creating a real-life character vs. impersonating
Should characters based on real-life people be treated any differently than fictitious ones.
LIVESTREAM BRAINSTORM SESSIONS ON ACTING
ABOUT THESE SESSIONS
These are livestream group sessions on acting about a particular subject chosen before the sessions. These are BRAINSTORMING sessions and everyone is welcome to expose their opinions on the matter without imposing his/her views on others.
THE TOPIC
Last year the were several movies out about real people. After watching a couple of them I begin to wonder if the process of creating a character should be the same when dealing with real people than when approaching a fictitious character. When creating a real-life character becomes “impersonating” the person rather than building a character based on his/her life? … and does it really matter?
ABOUT THE FORMAT
The sessions will be held via Zoom. To start, I’m trying 30 minutes sessions. The length of these sessions might change depending on the topic and the amount of participants. If there’s enough interest in these sessions, I might try holding them also on Social Media (Facebook and Instagram).
SCHEDULE
I’m currently working on a schedule for what I’m calling “Open Virtual Studio Week”. In the meantime, please contact me if interested in either a group session or in a one-on-one conversation.
